Actor Linda Collins seems to be on a mission to take on the indie world, and all of its roles. Whatever the genre — drama, dramedy, comedy, horror or even western — Collins is tackling the character and in some instances, she’s even producing the project. From film to short film, to streaming and even Zoom (who here hasn’t been on a Zoom meeting in the past 12 months), Collins brings energy and depth to her work. A one-time symphony musician, Collins has amassed quite a dizzying-amount of projects in just the 2020/2021 filming schedule alone, with several more in production and on the horizon.

Collins, who is filming The Stable, a western/gritty drama where she plays a gritty nightclub owner running a human-trafficking ring, seems just as home in the horror and drama roles as she does in the comedy or lighthearted films. In the film, Three For The Road, Collins takes on the outspoken role of as Liz, a fashionista maven that has learned to divert her pain into laughter. She lives her life out loud and has been married several times, with a healthy sexual appetite. The film is directed by David Patrick Wilson. Wilson, a veteran actor, also starred as Rory in the film. Audiences might have recognized Wilson for his work in The Gangster Chronicles, The Bronx Zoo, Who’s The Boss and The Young Riders, among many others.

Perception features Collins in the role of Lauren; Collins also served as executive producer the film that Brightside Traven Shorts Film Festival named Best International Film. At the Omaha Latino Festival, Collins’ took home the honors for Best Supporting Actress. Perception is directed and written by Andres Irias.

Collins plays the role of Nancy Decker in the Zoom comedy series, CUZZINS. The series follows three cousins living in a three-family house in Brooklyn. Kevin James McNamara directed several episodes and is executive producer. McNamara and Collins have also collaborated on I Fell Off A Cliff (2019) and The Stable.

She’s also working on a horror film, Dying to Love You. Written and directed by Dean Ciallella, known for his acting work on such shows as Mozart Jungle and The Deuce. Collins is slated to star as Pearl Willoughby in this murder, romance and drama all intertwined production. The intense film is just another feather in Collins’ acting camp — it seems she’s found a ‘home’ in the indie film world.
