Water To Wine’s single — “Good Time’n” is another great release by the Atlanta area band with tons of moxie and absolute positive vibes to spread around at a time when it could not be more needed. But it’s not about the Covid-19 blues, as it might indicate from the title itself but that only coincides with good timing in its own little way. “Good Time’n” is generally more about the ongoing topic of daily struggles usually leading to a good time on the weekends, but it arrives at a correlating time, nevertheless. Those are only some of the thoughts any good song like this can provoke, but musically it breeds much more.

The best thing about “Good Time’n” by Water Of Wine, is how it describes exactly that, good timing. The elements all come together collectively in one song like they do a bar filling on Friday and Saturday nights after a long work week, and I believe that is mostly what the song speaks for. The rest can be imagined like any good song, as these lyrics do not get too deep about it and stay the course to keep you thoroughly entertained from the get-go to the last chord.

There is also a lot to be said about the band, which took some familiarizing before concluding great things about, but that can be credited to “Good Time’n” as well. It does not matter if you are more into country or rock, as they even cross genres into Americana and don’t forget about musicality altogether. Their sound reaches more of a global audience than a regional one, so it’s only safe to say that Atlanta are spoiled by Water To Wine, it’s not a secret to after hearing more of their music. This song just makes you want to hear more of them.

“Good Time’n” gets right under your skin and waste’s no time coming on with the outstanding vocal duet with the up fronted female approach being a huge plus but not limiting them, instead expanding them over the instrumentation. And that is only at the outset, the vocals get better as they go and wind up being a featured asset to Water Of Wine’s potential hit single. If the rest of their forthcoming album is anything like this, it is worth looking forward to. But I would probably be saying that if I had already known about them.

All I know is that it was good timing to hear “Good Time’n” and almost sums it up, if not for such a great band to be discovered in the process of reviewing what is an overall superb track and bunch of musicians in which I could not help but delve more into. The impact this one song had on me brought me to the source, but the source keeps helps keep my faith in music on both the country and rock side it takes ones own will to discover in the new music world, thanks to Water To Wine.
